Refund policy

Draft, pending legal review.

Challenges

Joining a challenge is final. A run that breaks, or a change of mind, is never refunded.

The Spoe fee is refunded only when Spoe cancels the challenge or refunds your run for a fault on Spoe’s side.

When Spoe cancels or gets something wrong

If Spoe cancels a challenge, every stake and fee is refunded the way it was paid.

If a fault on Spoe’s side is proven to have cost you a run, that run’s stake and fee are refunded the way they were paid, and the pool is split without it. If the challenge had already paid out, winnings are taken back first, but only as much as is still in each Wallet.

Solo goals

A solo goal you pay for but don’t set up by the end of the day after you paid has its whole stake returned to your balance. If you paid by card, the Official Rules say when that money can be cashed out. If you delete your account, a goal you paid for by card that never started is refunded to the card.

Paying for a redemption closes when its offer ends. A card payment that goes through after that is refunded to the card.

Otherwise a solo stake isn’t refunded: kept every day, the whole stake comes back to your balance, and missed, Spoe keeps it.

How a refund arrives

Unless a section above says otherwise, card payments are refunded to the card, and your bank decides how long the refund takes to show. Payments from your balance are refunded to your balance, where they show at once. If a refund to a card fails, the money goes to your balance instead.

Disputes

If you dispute a charge with your bank, the Official Rules say what happens to that run and to your account while the dispute is open. Please write to us first: we may be able to sort it out sooner.
